If you would like to be in 2k_ but just aren't quite up to par, try the following:

-save replays where someone impresses you, then go back and watch how they play.� try to mimic their style of play against the computer until you feel confident enough to get on bnet and try it against some other people.� also, dont be afraid to modify any build or strategy to meet your own preferences needs and playing style.

-play with people you know are giong to suck, you will be amazed how much your skill will increase by trying to cover for the sucky person.� you have to raise to meet the challenge. (essentially playing 2v1.5 :)

-NEVER GIVE UP. if you are dead do not leave, do not sit and cry and watch your base burn to ashes.� keep trying. so many people give up and they should try to move into their partner's base and keep up the fight. they might be able to turn the tide later on.� Besides if you start giving up when you lose, then it becomes a habit.� who wants to be in the habit of giving up?� it makes you not play as hard.

-play alot. hey, time and practice do wonders for skill

-practice what you know.� if you have a good zealot rush, practice it until you can do it flawlessly almost every time, then you can move on to other options

-expand your horizons. if you only play protoss, try playing zerg or terran, try different things, this will help you be a more rounded player as well as knowing your preferred race better by seeing how other people use them against you.

-dont hack.� not only do hackers ruin the game (i would argue they already have ruined it and whats left is a faint reflection of what starcraft used to be) but it becomes a crutch, offering no skill, and all your wins are tainted by the knowledge that you had to cheat and use illegal unfair advantages to win.
